Heidi Willis - Botanical Watercolour Artist is coming to Brisbane! Join us at Artful Snippets Studio and Art School with Heidi Willis for 2 days 'Nature in Watercolour' in Fortitude Valley.

 

Class Details ~

Through step by step tuition, demonstrations and guided hands on learning, this workshop will explore painting a selection of natural subjects with a strong focus on improving your overall watercolour techniques. We will build a fundamental understanding and love of the medium and of this genre, we will establish valuable strategies for achieving improvements and successful outcomes and find a new level of confidence in your work together, ultimately establishing the footholds for independent painting. 

Working in transparent watercolour, we will apply basic techniques such as working with washes, the more complex process of glazing (or layers of wash) and the intricate art of dry brushing to a selection of beautiful botanical and insect subjects. Each of these focus areas will allow us to explore essential watercolour techniques; the foundations to managing this medium well. 

Artists with any level of experience are welcome in this workshop so come along and enjoy learning more about this wonderful art form and medium.
