​STUDIO STYLE:

​

All studio style of classes in all ages include structured fine art lessons based on teaching and learning experiences designed to meet the needs of our students as a group, plus individual micro lessons and studio time. Studio time involves working on art pieces of your choice with guidance and one-on-one feedback.

ADULTS, CHILDREN & TEENS - Learn the required skills paint or draw independently with our qualified teacher. We teach acrylic, oil, soft pastel, watercolour painting; and drawing. Individual feedback and micro lessons based on fine art skills are taught. ​​​Classes include structured fine art lessons based on teaching and learning experiences designed to meet the needs of our students as a group, plus individual micro lessons and studio time. Studio time involves students working on art pieces of their choice with guidance and one-on-one feedback.

Flexible content for beginners and those with more advanced skills. Our classes are based on a STUDIO STYLE of structure. This means - you paint or draw a subject of your choice, with a medium or material of your choice - and be directed, taught and inspired by our qualified teacher. Some lessons include more structure and micro-lessons about specific skill sets (eg. using tonal values, colour theory), based on the needs of the individuals within the group.

CLASS SIZES:

Class sizes are limited for quality teaching and studio space - generally capped at 8 students (+ possibly 1 or 2 casual attendees), classes may be smaller based on the discretion of the teacher. Small class sizes allow for quality feedback and instruction. ​​​

Artful Snippets runs many classes online in conjunction with our In-Studio classes if you feel unwell or during times of disaster.

ADULTS -

Fine art skills such as oil, acrylic, soft pastel, watercolour painting and drawing based on subjects you enjoy are taught at an appropriate pace based on the confines of the small group. Beginners may work through a drawing course. Quality learning suited for your purposes - whether that be a hobbyist or as a more serious artist.

 

For example: learn how to use acrylic paint and brushes to paint a beachscape in a manner which builds foundational skills for future paintings. We like to teach HOW and WHY. But we also understand the need to UNDWIND and enjoy.

​​Some classes include optional warm up art tasks or challenges.

 

MATERIALS: bring your own.

CHILDREN & TEENS  -​

Age brackets are flexibly based - on experience, skills and maturity. 

 

MATERIALS: include most materials stocked in the studio. For example: paint, clay, watercolours, drawing materials and other basics. Canvases & some other specialty artist materials are not stocked. However, the use of canvases and these speciality materials are optional. Parents will be required to purchase canvases and texture mediums.

ONLINE CLASSES

They are live interaction via Zoom and held at the same time and day as our in-studio classes - so you are a part of the class!
