IN-STUDIO CLASSES

Fine art classes with a contemporary twist at our Salisbury studio!

​

Flexible content for beginners and those with more advanced skills. Our classes are based on a STUDIO STYLE of structure. This means - you paint or draw a subject of your choice, with a medium or material of your choice - and be directed, taught and inspired by our qualified teacher. Some lessons include more structure and micro-lessons about specific skill sets (eg. using tonal values, colour theory), based on the needs of the individuals within the group.

 

This also means we are able to teach oil, acrylic, soft pastel, watercolour painting and drawing skills at a suitable pace, based on subjects you enjoy within the confines of the small group. Think quality learning suited for your purposes - whether that be a hobbyist or as a more serious artist.

 

For example: learn how to use acrylic paint and brushes to paint a beachscape in a manner which builds foundational skills for future paintings. We like to teach HOW and WHY. But we also understand the need to UNDWIND and enjoy.

Many lessons begin with an optional creative warm up task designed by our teacher.

​

Learn the required skills paint or draw independently with our qualified teacher. We teach acrylic, oil, soft pastel, watercolour painting; and drawing (beginners may work through a course within the confines of a small group). Individual feedback and micro lessons based on fine art skills are taught.

​

Class sizes are limited to 7-8 participants for quality teaching. Our children's and teens classes are currently being restructured and will be on offer in 2021, subscribe for updates!

ONLINE CLASSES

Online classes are structured similar to classes at our physical studio - explained here --> MORE INFO​​.

They are live interaction via Zoom and held at the same time and day as our in-studio classes - so you are a part of the class! If you prefer shorter Zoom classes via Zoom, choose between attending for 2 or 3.5 hours. Start time is the same for both. Online participants receive 1-2 emails with feedback on artworks in-between classes.
